Inspirational Feathers Mixed Media Canvas

Today, I am sharing a 5" x 7" inspirational mixed media canvas.

Sentiment:  She's a dreamer, a doer, a thinker.  She sees possibility everywhere.

This was made with two of the beautiful new Unity releases.
I loved the feathers, so I used lots of them and made a frame for the wonderful sentiment.  The vintage look was just what I was going for.

I used a few techniques and color blending in a quick video tutorial.

Link Ups:

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. Forward and ThroughDreamer-Thinker-Doer each by Artist Tierra; Ranger distress ink and watercolor paper; Gesso, Liquitex Matte Gel, Dylusions ink spray, 5"x7" Winsor & Newton Artists' Canvas, Copic markers, dictionary, hemp and adhesive pearls.

Today is my birthday.  This hop is a great way to begin my day.
Here is my project using the lovely Pretty Posies stamps and Posies Fri-dies by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Sentiment:  A little note to say you are terrific.

The flowers and leaves were stamped and heat embossed onto watercolor paper and then painted with watercolor.  The dies easily cut out the beautiful posies for placement.  The leaves and sentiment shimmer in gold.  I love the flowers and the encouraging sentiment.

Here is a closer look:

Many thanks to CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and to CardMaker for this super fun co-hop.
Remember to leave a comment and then continue with the hop.

*** Your next stop in the hop is Nora. ***

The full hop list is available on the CardMaker blog in case you get lost along the way.

Supplies:  CAS-ual Fridays Pretty Posies stamps and Posies Fri-dies, Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils, Gansai Tambi Starry Colors, Ranger white and gold embossing powder, paper crimper and Pop Dots.

Vintage flower thinking of you card.

Here is vintage mixed media style flower handmade card with matching envelope.

Sentiment:  Thinking sweet & lovely thoughts of you today and always.

I think this is a great all occasion card for birthdays and more.
I used mixed media techniques for this one, using a dictionary page, gel medium, watercolor and paint spritz.  I like that it is perfectly imperfect.

There is no video for this one.  The battery exhausted during the process.  Maybe I can repeat this process in the near future with a different design.

Here it is a little closer:

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. Hello Beautiful by Jolande & Marleen, dictionary page, doily, paint spritzer, Ranger distress markers and Archival ink.

Have a great day.

Hello It's Me Flower on Vellum Card

Today, I am up on the Unity blog for Inspiration Wednesday with this flower card.

Sentiment:  Hello it's ME.

For this card, I used a favorite technique of mine, coloring on vellum.
I also used heat embossing, die-cuts and pretty soft layers.

Here is mood board inspiration I found on Pinterest.

I made a quick video tutorial for my flower card:

And here is a closer look.

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. kits by Jolande & Marleen Hello It's Me and Hello Beautiful, vellum, Copic markers, powder tool, VersaMark, Ranger embossing powder, heat tool, kraft paper and MFT die-namics.

Sandcastle Beach Girl ~ Do what makes your soul shine.

Here is a sweet tropical and nautical scene with an inspirational message.

Sentiment:  Do what makes your soul shine.

Isn't she the cutest?  This is so typical of summer.
I made a little porthole view and layered the sentiment on patterned paper.

The beach is watercolor.  The girl is popped up for a 3-D look.

I made a video tutorial for this card.

Here it is a little closer:

Supplies:  Unity Stamp Co. Shiny Little Soul Kit by Phyllis Harris, MFT & My Creative Time dies, Ranger distress  markers, Copic markers, hemp and BasicGrey paper.
